I went here during off lunch hours with my bf, so there was no line and not too many people around in general. I've never been here or to any other Ladle & Leaf locations before, but I have been to places with similar offerings (e.g., Tender Greens, Sweet Greens, Specialty's, etc.), so I ordered my usual - grilled chicken cobb salad. One thing I liked about this place compared to some of the others is that they mixed the salad up so that the dressing spread evenly; they didn't just dump the toppings on and leave (or leaf 😏) it at that. The staff was friendly too, though a bit hard to hear with some of the overall background noise around. While this may not necessarily be the first "lunch" place I think of, it will almost certainly make the list of "salad" places when I'm craving something healthier. I guess that just means I'll have to try something different (not salad) on their menu next time 🙃
I worked next door for a few days, and needed a coffee. To bad they don't open till 7 am.
Despite that, the staff is nice,
I had banana nut bread and some plain coffee. That bread was great. I don't know if it's baked there or not but it went great with the coffee
One thing San Francisco is good for is culinary diversity. Ladel and Leaf isn't my typical dine-in or carry-out situation but I decided that I would give it a chance.
The service here was acceptional and everyone was friendly. Always a good way to start a meal am I wrong?
Anyway, it turns out as it so happens with many of the places I eat out at I enjoyed the food without taking the 10 seconds it would take to capture it in a photo so I wrote this review to encourage you all to give it a try especially if it is a venue you wouldn't normally seek out to enjoy!
