Simple (because I order simple menu, Original Japanese Ramen is quite simple, we don’t put everything on it like American Sushi) and great broth (Mr. Sena put so much work on it), also the best thin noodle!!
Realistic Okinawan ramen; thick and a bit salty, for replacement of noodles (Kaedama). They may not make fancy looking Ramen, however; just making it real and serious.
Great place for ramen. Small, with a great atmosphere. Friendly staff. I had the Spicy Ramen and added an egg. Really enjoyed the broth, with just enough heat.
Great service of a mom and pop shop feeling. I went a bit late during lunch hrs with a friend. There was only one person working there and serving everything. He made it look so effortless. They got some brain quests for you by the counters while ur waiting for your food. What I like about this place is you can choose different kinds of noodles! And there are different choices to ramen bowls to choose from. A sweet treat also waits for you to indulge after your warm bowl of hearty ramen. Really is a hidden gem off of a busy street.
Cozy ramen shop with yummy noodles and extremely reasonable prices (taxes included in the menu price - just like in Japan). The Tenma Ramen is a great starter deal. The staff is always friendly. The owner/chef's personality comes through. He plays quite a bit of 70s disco and funk (not too loud). There are random trivia and puzzles posted in the shop, plus a ping pong game. You get a prize (like extra nori) if you win! Today the check came with Pocky sticks.
After having moved to Klamath Falls Oregon, this is the one place I miss so much. If I ever get back into San Jose for any reason I will promise to visit my most favorite Ramen shop in the world. Sena san, we miss your Ramen. Ahhhhh, still the best.
