Choose your first glass of wine carefully; it will be your last (see photo of full goblet). The giant pour complements the large steak well. Recommended: local sanddabs crusted in house. Be advised: friendly, warm owners; nontraditional ambiance.
The buzz on the street is good. Live music on occasion. Eclectic server wear with colorful lamps, found objects, and Mediterranean accents. Enthusiastic owner, good service, giant bottomless drinks. Variety of menu options, colorful on the plate. Food arrived hot.
We went back again recently and met the lovely and sweet wife. The food was amazing again and we were blessed to get a glimpse that she shared at the heart, soul, and passion they have for this restaurant. I love supporting these kind of people!
Our 1st time experience was totally awesome! The food is absolutely everything we were looking for. My mother is a retired food scientist and is very hard to please with restaurant food. She even enjoyed the delicious homemade gooey cinnamon roll that 4 of us shared and barely finished. She was begging to go back before she left, but unfortunately didn't have time. The server was sweet and shy, the owner is the chef and took our order. He has a fun stern quirky sense of humor, and his wife has fun with decor and offers a small selection of her collection for sale. We picked up some cute little collectable salt and pepper shakers. *Original review from 2019
The eggs were overdone in the Benedict by the service was wonderful and they made us a new egg. The food was over all pretty good.
This is the best place for bottomless mimosas in Santa Cruz. The owners give the best attention and are so funny. What the Santa Cruz vibe should be. Best weekend brunch spot.
