Big fan of the programme and I am from the uk, so really happy to go to the shop, me and my family tried a few things between us and loved them, just wish I could have got a keychain or pen
The lobster tails are to die for!! I have been watching the cake boss from the first time it aired I have been dying to try them. All I can say is it met my expectations and then some!!!!! Can't wait to go back!
Love this place. Service is good and treats are always fresh. Plus they offer a military discount.
Piecaken 5 stars!
Pecan pie, pumpkin pie, cinnamon apple cake w/ cinnamon buttercream icing between each layer.
Lobster Tails 5 stars!
Nutella and traditional
I picked up a piecaken for Thanksgiving and it was quite the crowd pleaser. There were lots of desserts but everyone was drawn to the unique mash up that Carlo's bakery created with their piecaken.
I also sampled a few of their lobster tails which are sort of like a cream puff.
Everything was very tasty. They had a lot of cake and pastry selections. If I lived closer I'd be back more often but sadly it is hard for me to get here so I'll save it for a special treat when I'm in the area.
Very cool experience, the shop looks like out of the show and the pastries were great, a bit expensive but still solid trying the famous pastries from the show like the cannoli and lobster tail
This place is fine. I was going to walk past until I saw the beautiful rainbow cake sold by the slice. I was greeted immediately as I walked in, as there was only one other person ordering. I asked if the cake was actually worth trying or if it was mainly for the look, and the girl admitted it was primarily a vanilla cake, but it was really good considering they usually feature different items (since vanilla isn't considered anything special). I then asked what they were known for and the girl suggested the lobster tails and cannoli. I got one of each and paused when I was told my total was $20. I noticed the poster of the $25 "Carlos Combo" that I had pretty much gotten all elements for, but was missing the chocolate chip cookie. $5 for a cookie? Nope. The pastries were overpriced, but very good. The cannoli was solid with a delicious custard in the middle, and the lobster tail was unique, flakey, and softly sweet. The cake was better than expected but nothing to write home about; I describe it as "it tastes like what you wish store bought cakes to taste like when you see how pretty it is." While I took one star off for the price, it's a very adequate bakery, but expensive, even for the area, and they sell items that I feel are uncommon, but not impossible to find (with the exception of the lobster tail, which was different, but not something I would ever need to eat again). I would only tell my friends to try ONE lobster tail (sharable for up to 4 adults), and maybe a cannoli if you love those. I didn't feel oversold, and felt like the baker was honest with me. I also would have taken off another star because of price alone, but I will say: the pastries lasted a day (we could only eat it the next day so we put it in the fridge) and they provided WOODEN cutlery, and I appreciate any business moving towards less plastic, especially in such a touristy spot.
Everything was result good. My son loved the sprinkle covered cookie. 🍪 It looked more like a cake cookie. The lobster tail and cannolis were bomb. The slice of rainbow 🌈 cake was soft and moist still and I ate it the day after purchasing it and traveling back home. My husband said the cheesecake was really good as well.
I'm only sadden at the fact I bought myself a shirt but when we got back to the hotel and I pulled it out. It was a youth large instead of an adult large.
