Prefer triangle Rangoons but was shocked when I was able to eat fried rice! Usually all rice is dry and hardly edible but their fried rice was delicious!! Very fresh and moist, not at all like the pellets one finds in Chinese takeout

Gold China has turned around from being a local take-out place into a rare Chinese restaurant in America serving authentic food. I don't know where they found their new chef. I hope nobody steals him. It is always crowded even in the off-season at off hours. Serious Chinese food lovers will turn to the special menu at the back . Try everything that says black pepper sauce or a black bean sauce or anything to do with spicy eggplant and ribs.

May not be up to most snooty sarasotians impossible standands, but my wife and i have been getting our Chinese food from there for years, and we always enjoy it. Good food, big portions, and inexpensive. 👍
