Casey and Hugh catered our birthday party Saturday evening. When I say catered I mean CATERED! There was not one person who didn't comment about the delicious food. They got there early, stayed late, worked their tails off and never stopped smiling. They decorated the buffet line beautifully and kept the food coming while Cinnamon ( greatest pup in the world) waited outside
If you're looking for great service, best food ever and fantastic people to be with call Casey at Barnes. I promise you'll be glad you did!!
Never personally went to Barnes but I've eaten their food and it was great. It's more then the food though I remember being in the hospital with my son on Christmas and they gave everyone Christmas dinners and now hurricane Mathew had hit and they ate at it again making sure Georgia power has a nice hot meal !! They are for the community and I love it !!!
I enjoy eating at Barnes I ordered the 3 combo shrimp oysters and scallops with green beans potatoes salad and it was cooked perfectly my family and I started eating there about 11 years ago and every chance we can we Stop in
Food is awesome and is operated by a local family with a lot of love and devotion for the community. They are always there to help in a pinch wether it's a Hurricane, Funeral or Party. Highly recommend Barnes if you've never tried them.
I loved the food and service. We were seated right away, even with a full parking lot. Food came out fast and was delicious. I ordered from The Special memu, Shrimp (14 count) and Grits with cheese, sausage, peppers and onions. I left with a to go box with enough for another meal. All for under $15. I would certainly go again.
We’ve had a prolonged stay at Memorial Medical and were looking for some home cooked food. We hit the jackpot here. Great food, the service was a hit and a miss. The manager is rude, but the other employees are so nice and helpful, especially Dee. Every time we’ve ordered, she’s there with a smile. Constantly cleaning and restocking. I don’t know her personally , but coming from a business owner, I’d be happy to have an employee with her attitude and work ethic.
If you're having a large gathering please ask for Ms. Nesbitt. She was the absolute best! We had a large demanding crowd of people and she handled us with the grace and care that was needed. I will say that Barnes should invest in large drink dispensers for the banquet hall, I truly believe it would make the dining experience that much more enjoyable. In these times where good staff are hard to find its important to come up with innovative ways that will assist those who are working diligently. Just my two cents. :)
It's no surprise that the parking lot is always full at this restaurant. The chicken fingers are amazing, and the hush puppies are probably the best I've ever had. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent price. Barnes is a great place for a quick bite, or a nice dinner. Highly recommend!
Stopped at Barnes on impulse. Just moving here and never heard of it, but since the parking lot looked full, decided it couldn't be the worst. They were not terribly busy for a Friday lunch. Our server, Sharon was very friendly, informative, and efficient. She kept our drinks filled and needs met. The food came out hot and quick. The hushpuppies were the best I've ever had. The fish was great. The shrimp were very lightly battered but fresh. Collard greens had plenty of bacon flavor. Cole slaw was finely grated and not too sweet with pickle bits. Very good. Red rice was not flavorful. Will be back to try the bbq for sure.
I been coming here the last past 2 week and the energy was very depressing until today Mrs. Anita was very nice, patient and helpful.... thank you so must Anita because this was going to be my last time coming here.The Barbecue ribs was good that's the reason Im visiting. The Chocolate Caramel and Pound cake was delicious. Well visit again.
