Saw this place on Diners,Drive ins,and Dives.
Visited the area and tried it. AWESOME doesn't come close to describing the experience of eating at a gas station!!! Pigs and Grits is to die for. Also had the tacos. Their bbq sauce really compliments them! Don't even think about not going there!
Brisket tacos were excellent! Did not get to try bakery (wife's diet..) but certainly looked delicious. Lots to shop through and the giant fish tank is awesome!
I came to have my car washed and had dinner while I waited. I had the pulled pork platter with BBQ beans and macaroni & cheese. There was also corn bread. All were delicious! The pulled pork was so tender and flavorful. The beans and macaroni and cheese were amazing! Corn bread was great too! And they did a great job on my car! I will definitely be back!

My kids saw this place on the Tanked tv show (which they watch like it's their job) and wanted to visit when we were in AZ for our Christmas vacation. The manager Mike was great with the kids and was so engaging. Who would have thought that a gas station BBQ stand would be one of the high points of our Christmas vacation.

Outstanding Bar-B-Q in North Scottsdale. With a neat little Country store besides located inside a Shell Gas station. Mind you, its a bit more than Dickey's but as much as I like Dickey's I like this place a lot too. Great portions and oh-so-tasty.
And definitely do try the snickerdoodle cookie. Light, airy and great!

We got the brisket stack and pigs and grits, both were excellent! The staff were also amazing and extremely accommodating. This place is worth taking a trip for!
This place is REALLY cool! They have so many things to talk about. When you pull in they have a car wash, a detail bay, and the gas station has a dedicated 95 octane and a separate 100 octane pump. Once you head inside the store just floats you right to BBQ heaven. The food is amazing I have tried the brisket, the pork, the chicken and all of their sides. Macaroni and cheese, BBQ beans, coleslaw, potato salad. I loved all of it. The gift shop is one of a kind with so many cool things to take home. Tons of really nice decorations and gifts you can give for any occasion. Not just Arizona keychains like you find at most stores. The people are so nice and really care about everyone who comes in. They go out of their way to make sure everyone got what they stopped for. This place really makes me happy. I recommend everyone stop by and experience The Thumb for themselves.
Definitely worth trying! Who can pass up a great bbq place at a gas station? I had the two meat platter of pulled pork and pulled chicken. The chicken was amazing. Good Mac N cheese and sweet potato fries as well. Quaint outdoor seating area. They usually share up front how long the wait is…we just aren’t sure what takes so long. But it was worth the 20 min wait.
There was an issue with my truck that I noticed after I got it washed! Joe, the manager didn’t think they caused it, but he fixed it anyway! What customer service. You do t see that anywhere anymore. The food is excellent, the shopping is a fun adventurous experience! The customer service is amazing. This is the only car wash for me!!! Thanks👍🏻
