I have lived around the area of Searcy, AR my entire life. Fast food restaurants get so old and boring. Today was my first time EVER to try Slader's and it was the bomb! To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of dumplings in general. I have the worlds most sensitive texture issues, so to eat here, I was a bit skeptical, but, I so badly wanted something new. I've always been told, "Don't knock it 'till you try it," so I said, "Why not?" Well, long story short, these people know there stuff! All the flavors are outstanding! It's like they burst in your mouth bite after bite! Especially try the dumpling with their sweet 'N spicy sauce and sour cream to cool it down! Everyone should visit this place! I know I will be a regular now!!! Thanks you guys for bringing the most authentic food to Searcy, AR! Your atmosphere is great! I cannot wait for my next visit!
Great place to eat good food, play darts, and enjoy conversations with friends. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is really relaxed. In my opinion, the chicken dumplings are a great choice if you are indecisive.
Wonderful small local restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, I’d highly recommend this gem. With a simple menu, you are just picking between beef, chicken, or potato dumplings. I got chicken my first time, but next time I’ll be trying one of the other two.
This was such an awesome find! The dumplings are out of this world and a different take on what you may be used to. Great atmosphere, eclectic space with a chill patio! We are from Memphis and we will be making this a permanent day trip spot!
Simple menu. Beef, chicken, or potato. Very good and filling though. The sauces were good. Vinegar base with some heat.
Real good dumplings. A bit pricey for a meal at $9, but a good treat from time to time.
Great atmosphere. Bring yourself some bug spray so you can fully enjoy the outdoor eating area on the backporch.
All in all, a really cool place.
Had a wonderful first time experience here today! Wish I could have grabbed the guys name that helped me with my order, he was incredibly kind and patient! The food was fantastic and you can definitely tell that it's fresh. I would recommend it to anyone in the area! It's a very unique atmosphere and nothing can beat the prices with the quality of food you'll receive. Plan to be back here next time I'm in town😊
This is the Alaskan themed pelmeni restaurant and hangout in the middle of Arkansas that you didn't know you were looking for.
For those who don't know, pelmeni is a traditional eastern European dumpling (similar to pierogi). Apparently, they came to Alaska before the US purchased the territory.
The dumplings are steamed and covered in melted butter and curry spices. Then they are served in a bowl with available Sriracha sauce and sour cream.
Servings are still a little small for what you pay for, but you do get a unique experience.
True to the name, the restaurant is covered in Alaskan decor. To vie for the Searcy hipster title, they have a stereo setup playing classic rock with boxes of vinyl available. Also a cold brew stand on display to keep studying students awake.
Every college town needs a quirky place to eat that is hard to explain unless you've been there. Visitors should go at least once.
Good food. The guy in the window was a little cranky though, maybe he was having a rough day. Food is good though
The dumplings are fine. The sauce steals the show with strong vinegary spice. I would highly recommend trying all three sauce options. The chicken was best, followed by potato, and then beef.
