I have been a frequent visitor to this place for many years, and yet, I can't recall why I haven't left a review until now. It has consistently been a delightful destination for me, particularly during the summer season. The patio seating offers a charming setting to enjoy the pleasant weather, while the interior provides a cozy ambiance.
Whether you're looking to spend time with friends or plan a romantic date night, this place caters to both occasions admirably. Their cocktail selection is impressive, and the oysters they serve are notably fresh, adding to the overall dining experience. However, it's worth mentioning that the prices tend to be on the higher side.
One aspect that has always stood out is the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their attentiveness and professionalism contribute to the overall enjoyment of the visit. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend checking out this establishment. Its combination of great ambiance, delicious cocktails, and fresh oysters make it a worthwhile experience.
Lovely outdoor seating area. Would recommend coming for Happy Hour to make the prices more reasonable. We had the pickled vegetables and the duck fat popcorn, which were decent but the cocktails were much better.
Zig Zag Cafe is one of my favorite underrated gems in Seattle. It still has that unchanged “Old Seattle” vibe that I love. I’ve been a few times and have consistently been impressed by the amazing service, delicious and unique food, and huge selection of drinks.
On my most recent visit, I tried the bone marrow toast and the lemon posset. The bone marrow on brioche was delicious and the lemon posset was light and beautifully presented. Normally I don’t like lemon desserts, but I’m so glad I tried this one. I loved it. All of the staff went above and beyond on a busy summer evening and gave great recommendations for things to try.
