Was it worth the wait? Yes! Pasta was delicious. Fresh, perfectly cooked. Sauce was the perfect combination of savory, sweet and a bit of spice. Only disappointment was the Focaccia. If the bread was as good as the pasta, it would have been 5 stars. Get in line early for the shortest wait.
The line up is long but I felt the pasta was worth the wait! We had the clam special and the classic bolognese. The pastas were great. We also tried the pickles and the kale salad. The cheese on the salad was super yummy. There was a cool lemon coconut drink I'd like try next time I'm there! When you order the servers will find you a seat so dojt worry about getting a table, the only thing is getting to the front of the line! I'm looking forward to trying the sister restaurant for dinner!
Food was good. Line was long but they are good at making sure you order before you grab a table. They asked us when we were several people back in line how many people were in our groupso the 5 of us were able to sit together. The wait to order took much longer than waiting to get our food or eating. We arrived at about 11:40 am on a Monday (that was not raining but cold outside) and left by 12:45 pm. So the total experience, line, ordering and eating was about an hour. They have 3 options daily for pasta, bread, salad, and a few other side options. Sodas in the fridge to the left of the cashier and house red and house white wine.
Side note: Be prepared to be waiting outside in whatever the weather is for some of the line.
Amazing pasta - I would eat here everyday if the lines weren't so long and it wasn't only open weekdays. Prices are reasonable ($11 for pasta as of Jan 2020). They only serve three pastas everyday - one is the Bolognese and the other two change everyday. You can see the pasta menu for the day on their Instagram (they usually post around 10:30am, 30 minutes before they open).
This place gets really busy, so expect to be in line for at least an hour in most cases. If you want to avoid the longest lines, either get in line around 10:45am at the latest or go at 2pm or later. The only downside of showing up later is that one of the pasta selections could run out (happened to me once).
The Bolognese pasta is my absolute favorite. I also love their pastas with pesto whenever they have it - highly recommend it if that happens to be one of the menu items that day. The focaccia is amazing and I always order it as a side. The dulce de leche cookies are also really good if you have a sweet tooth.
The restaurant itself is really small and it's always packed, but you WILL get a seat. I usually go as a group of 4 (and occasionally 6) and we've always been able to get a table together. The staff are really good at planning out seating, so no need to worry about that.
Note that you can also order to-go, which I've done when getting there late to avoid the lines.
OMG. PASTA. DREAMS.
Uhhhh not gonna lie, the bud and I may have come during lunch. And ordered a carafe of wine...per person. Was it too much? Definitely. Did others benefit? Absolutely, when we gave away half our wines to our neighbors hahah. Hey, they appreciated it.
Soooo we may have also ordered every single pasta dish. On the menu. That day. Being a pescatarian, I didn't get to try every dish since one had meat, but of the rest, damn. So so so good.
Expect to hunt for some parking in the area. Also, expect to wait later if you don't wait earlier. I rolled out of my buds car 30mins to opening and there was already a bit of a line. By the time my bud met me up 5 til, the line ran all the way down the street and around the corner...and then some.
But seriously. They're efficient af. Don't sit before ordering. They'll tell you which table to grab after you've ordered. There's sauces and pastas to buy to-go at the front. We bought some for the next day. You seriously cannot go wrong with any of the pastas. The kale salad was a nice ish balance to all the carbs, but was it an amazing salad (like the pastas), then no.
PASTA TIME! 5 stars.
Fantastic, affordable, homemade pasta that is unfortunately only available from 11a-3p M-F. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This place knows how to do pasta right. Prioritize quality pasta over quantity served. They serve high quality pasta that changes daily on a limited basis. Anything you choose will probably be great and I highly recommend getting as much off the menu as possible. When you see wine being served in a cafe on tap in a rocks glass, you know you’re probably at a cool place. Don’t forget their other menu offerings, specifically the focaccia bread and hot chilis. Can’t go wrong at this joint. Only negative is the line you have to wait in for the food. But don’t worry, it goes quickly and it makes the food that much better. 👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing!!!! Would give 6 stars if I could. This kind of restaurant was just amazing. All pasta was freshly made, and I could honestly say it was probably the best pasta I’ve ever had. If you visit Seattle, this place WILL BE the highlight of your eating.
Tip- if you want to eat first, get their at 10:15am. Opening time is 11am, but the line was around the corner by 10:35-10:40am

We finally were both around on a weekday and had time to go downtown to check this place out. I am so glad we did. It absolutely did not disappoint!
When we go there a line was out the door and up a couple business doors down. Once you got inside there was another line (a little longer than the one outside) waiting to put your order in at the back of the restaurant. The tables are mostly family style that are mainly 4 seaters, with a few 2 seaters. So if you're a party of 3 you family style it up next to a couple at a 4 seater (extra chairs are available) . It moved fairly fast.
The door states the rules:
1. Order food at counter
2. Take seat after ordering at the counter.
3. Bus your own table.
4. Enjoy lunch!
It took us about 30-40 minutes to get to the counter to order. We ordered the focaccia bread, a cookie, the fusili pasta with hazelnut pesto sauce and the spicy baked pasticcio. We got the focaccia and the cookie when we ordered and used the water pitcher up front to get a couple glasses of water. You'll want to grab your water, silverware and napkins before sitting down so you don't have to push through the line more than once. We took a seat and our food came pretty quickly. All of the food was amazing. The focaccia had a nice cheesy crust on top and the olive oil to dip it in was really good. Both pasta dishes were so delicious. They actually complemented each other well as the pasticcio was heavy and rich and the fusilli was nice and light. We took the cookie to go and haven't eaten it yet, but it looks yummy! I will absolutely try to go back!
One of Seattle’s finest restaurants.
Is it worth the wait? 15 minutes? 30 minutes?
Absolutely.
Fresh pasta is made daily and served until they run out. The focaccia is incredibly delicious with their olive oil. The pasta is so fresh, every bite is mouth watering.
One advice is to SHARE. Order a lot and share with loved ones, friends, and dive into each dish.
Wow, the pasta here was delicious and well worth the wait. It was fresh, flavorful, and cooked al dente. Please don’t neglect getting the focaccia bread. It is served straight out of the oven and eaten dipped in olive oil. Eating it was like receiving a soft, warm hug in your mouth. Just heavenly.
While the wait is long, it’s totally worth it. Fantastic homemade pasta and sauces at unheard of prices. The meal was incredibly delicious. Their rotating menu is definitely going to tempt me to come back often to try more.
My brother decided to take us to this place boasting it was supposed to be one of the best Italian restaurants in Seattle. It did not disappoint.
Food: Authentic. You can taste almost every ingredient and it’s freshness in the dish. The lack of verity is completely made up by the absolutely exquisite taste of the pasta and sauce. This is not one of the best pasta joints in Seattle. This is one of the best pasta joints in the country.
Atmosphere: A little tight with limited sitting, but gave the place a cozy authentic feel in a part of town where you would not expect food of this caliber. I wouldn’t bring kids here as they might not appreciate the lack of space.
Service: The staff was very nice and explained everything that was asked. We did not feel rushed even though there was a line of at least two dozen people behind us.
Try their chili sauce. It’s life changing.
10/10, amazing pasta. Everything was so fresh, the flavors were great, and the portions were the perfect amount for a lunch with family/friends. The line was long, but even then, it moved rather quickly for the size of the restaurant! 100% worth the wait. Will definitely be stopping by here the next time I am in town!
The wait may seem intimidating, but Il Corvo has delicious pasta. And at very affordable prices. The menu changes daily, but all of the pastas I tried were fabulous. The other menu items like the house foccacia and kale salad were great too.
Coming from New Jersey I’m always skeptical about Italian food on the west coast. Il Corvo is the exception, and they would do well regardless of where they are in the US.
There’s a long wait and you’re eating in a somewhat cramped space, but that brings you closer to friends and makes the food more enjoyable.
The appetizers, especially the prosciutto, were fantastic and the pasta is other-worldly.
If anyone is visiting from the northeast and misses good Italian food, this is the place to go.
I thought maybe this place would be over-hyped, but no... It is really good. Only open weekdays 11-3 with a constant long line. We came here in a rainy Tuesday at 10:30 and it took us about 45 minutes to get through to the front. Despite this, because if their clear rules (line up, order, then they'll direct you to a seat), it really is quite organized. The food is amazing. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the pastas, and the ones we had both tasted very different, equally good. The price is cheap, is filling, and the foccacia is a must.
Best place for handmade pasta in Seattle and it’s also very reasonably priced! Comparable to Grassa in Portland but this has a more unique and homey vibe since the menu changes daily. The focaccia bread is probably one of the best I’ve had...it is SO SOFT AND FLAVORFUL. Go early stand in line, or go after 1pm for a much shorter wait. Regardless, well worth the wait.
This has been sitting on my "to go" list for quite some time. I already had a pasta place I'd visit that makes fresh pasta in Capitol Hill, so didn't have a need to come here. All the reviews are spot on - it's amazing. The succinct menu should be the first sign of a consistently quality product. The James Beard Foundation Award exacerbate your expectations. Thankfully this place doesn't disappoint. As others have mentioned the portions are normal (European standards) and may not suffice for those with very large appetites - I thought they were perfect. The amount of seasoning/sauces on the noodles is the perfect equation. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. I would recommend waiting in line at opening to be guaranteed a seat and not feel rushed. Visit here if you have the time and are in the vicinity.
