It's our very first time in Seattle and our very first stop was recommended by a native friend.
We were immediately greeted and seated upon arriving even though the place was kinda busy. Our server was kind and she took her time give us a complete run down on the daily specials and answered all of our questions about the menu.
Lots of classic breakfast items on the menu with their own twist to them and you can tell the food is made to order and in-house. Shortly after placing our order the food arrived hot.
The corned beef hash was served with thick chunks of corned beef, seasoned potatoes, peppers, onions, celery, and the very unique addition, butternut squash. I wouldn't have thought the squash would have went well with this classic but I was pleasantly surprised. The biscuit was definitely made in-house and everything a biscuit should be, large and flaky.
The chicken fried steak was seasoned perfectly and topped with a sausage gravy and served with a thick side of hash browns and eggs.
Our friend tried to order something new from the menu, but returned to her all time favorite, Geraldine's casserole. While I didn't try it, it looked and smelled cheesy and delicious.
I would definitely make my way back to Geraldine's for breakfast, brunch or lunch when I'm in the area.
Great spot for brunch. I got the avocado & pepperjack omelette with sourdough bread and hash browns. The omelette was good a creamy. Filled with lots of avocado. We also got the corn beef hash which was very tender and lastly got the slammin' with the specialty French toast.
The waiter told us that the French toast was made with their sourdough. It was topped with peaches and served with maple syrup. I would highly recommend trying it as it is very different then normal French toast in that it is crispier and lighter.
Nice place to have breakfast. Happy to visit!
