When near Seattle we never miss an opportunity to stop by Mee Sum Pastry. There is always a bit of a line but it always moves fast! They have the absolute best Crab Rangoon, ever. We’ve also had their bbq pork stick, red bean cakes and pork buns. There is not a bad thing on this menu! Great for quick bites to walk around and snack on while at Pike’s Place!
I heard about this bakery from YouTube, so I decided to try it out and was delighted by the experience. I had the BBQ Pork Hum bao. The housmade bread was (naturally) sweet and well-textured, and coupled with the pork created a blend of sweet and savory. At $5.50, it was a treasure! I would definitely go back, thank you for your business!
I’m not an expert on these types of pastries or foods as they probably have very specific techniques etc. However I would like to point out how fresh all the items are in the morning (9:00am when I ordered). Everything tastes great and nicely seasoned. Tried various items that caught my attention; BBQ Pork Stick wasn’t very tough and had a great sweet flavor from the sauce. The egg tart was just sweet enough to taste the filling throughout while the crust was flaky and light which is really nice. Lastly we got a chicken steamed Bao which was just everything you’d expect from it! Great food overall with decent prices considering its Pike Place Market.
