So many people rave about this place, so I had to try it. I'm not from Seattle but came 2 years ago and loved it. Now I'm back visiting with some family and it was the 1st place we went to eat. I'm a big fan of breakfast food, so I was in absolute heaven. I've had their breakfast sandwiches before but I enjoy the Hot Mess a lot more. It's like you're getting a little bit of everything at the same time. The biscuit is soft, the gravy has great flavor, the grits and eggs go really well with it, and the hot link and jalapenos just top it off perfectly. I could eat it everyday honestly. Every visitor that comes to Seattle, needs to try this place at least once.

I'm from Philly and we love our food. Seattle's great and this place rocks. The biscuits are insanely good. Slight crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. It doesn't leave your mouth dry like most places. Great flavors. Love the friendly "attitude" where everything plays off of the name. If you are looking for a delicious quick bite and a place that just makes you smile then cheer yourself up with this place.

Great food - just great! My wife had the vegetarian biscuit sandwich and I had vegetarian biscuits and gravy. Great flavor and very filling! The wait was longer than posted - over an hour compared to the stated 45 minutes - but it wasn't a huge issue. Few tables outside and there's a huge crowd at all times. Definitely order ahead! Coffee was good! Not great, not bad - good, hot, and drinkable!
