Summer Convince And Pizzeria

We have been here for six weeks, and we love it! Selling our home in a neighboring town and downsizing was a challenge, but moving to Summer House and downtown Stamford was a great next step and helped us make the transition in a way that felt full of new possibilities. The apartment is modern, with a very functional layout, the shared spaces and amenities are nicely appointed, the staff are helpful, and the location can't be beat if you love having a wide variety of restaurants, theaters, Mill River Park, and the library. I highly recommend Summer House.

I just moved into Summer House on Saturday and my furniture was delivered yesterday (2 days behind schedule). The staff here were so accommodating and made sure my move went as smoothly as possible! My movers even commented on how incredible the staff were and said that they have never met a maintenance manager before and mine was present for the move. Everyone here has been incredibly friendly so far and I am extremely happy that I chose this building! I also never write reviews :)

This is more than an apartment building, it's a community! I've been living in Summer house for nearly 3 years, and in that time I've both renewed my current lease and I've switched apartment units. The management is more than willing to help and very responsive with all questions! When I wanted to switch units to get a bigger apartment, they toured all open options with me right away, and I had a new lease signed in a few days! It's so great to have reliable management, and 24x7 staff! The desk staff are so friendly, and know all the tenants! They even helped me review camera footage of the building when I needed to. Everyone in this building is considerate and friendly. I've never had a problem with noise or neighbors. The location is the best location in Stamford, by far, and all the amenities are luxurious. Can't say enough good things about my experience in this building, I will definitely keep renewing my lease here as long as I can.

I’ve had such a great experience at Summer House! The staff here is very attentive especially the Maintenace supervisor, Khalid! Khalid goes above and beyond for everyone! All work orders are taken care of in a prompt manner. Khalid’s friendly personality really makes Summer House feel like “home”. 5 out of 5 stars!!!

I am going to be completely honest about my experience at Summer House. Living at Summer House made me seriously reconsider living in another “luxury” complex in the future. On the morning of my move-in date, the front desk was not aware that I was moving in and no one was around to provide me with the keys to my unit. It was hectic and I had to wait a while until I was able to get into my apartment. Not a huge issue but I would've appreciated it if things were a bit more prepared. As I was moving in, other residents on the floor that I was moving into were moving out. We had to use the same area to get to the elevators and one of them got annoyed and started screaming at me and my family and murmuring slurs when she thought we couldn't hear them. We didn't even use the reserved elevator because she kept shouting that they had it booked and she made a huge commotion if someone else tried to get in. I had never experienced this kind of behavior from a grown adult before and when I brought up this incident to leasing, they said “moving makes people stressed and abnormal” and that I need to learn to be respectful. I was moving too but I wasn't going around yelling and screaming at people. A couple of weeks after I moved in, leasing let me transfer to another unit because there was a lot of street noise and the resident living upstairs would blast their music at 2AM. I was told that they've received several noise complaints before and one of their neighbors had moved out. Things got worse because the unit that I transferred into had a resident upstairs who would stomp like they wanted to create a hole through my ceiling and drop heavy items directly above me at odd hours late at night (11PM-4AM) that would cause my unit to shake. I'm sensitive to noise but I had guests over that would ask me startled what these noises were. I talked to the building office and they tried to catch the noises in my unit but I was told the resident upstairs had lived there for a few years and they've never received a complaint before. I requested if they could speak to the resident to please just be a little considerate but it just ended up getting noisier. When I was touring the complex I was told if something like this were to happen, they would help and it would stop immediately but in reality it felt like I was just lectured about how everyone has different sensitivity to noise and the front desk would just tell me there's nothing they could do and they have to believe the upstairs resident who says they're not making noise. I felt like I was going crazy and it was extremely frustrating and stressful. There was also a faint smell of cigarettes coming somewhere near my unit even though this is a non smoking building. I never got a good night's sleep and my quality of life/health deteriorated while living here. I tried to work in the conference room thinking it was quiet but there's a pool table right outside and when there's people playing, it causes loud bang noises into the conference room. It seems that the builders skimped out during construction. In addition, the front desk lost one of my packages and I kept being told different things and nothing was really done about it even though I contacted a few times and they said they would follow up. I do want to say the building is very clean and maintenance and leasing is responsive and straight forward for the most part. However, the cons outweighed the pros for me and I could not justify the price I was paying. I had to break my lease due to the pandemic and they threatened to send me to collections if I did not pay the termination fee with a payment plan. I hoped that I would enjoy my stay here but I was pretty miserable and I honestly regret ever moving into Summer House.

I’ve lived in various luxury apartments throughout CT, and although this apartment did not stand out in a must-move-in-here way (since nowadays amenities are standard), I was blown away by how professional, knowledge, friendly, and attentive our leasing consultant was. We saw multiple different layouts, and went through a few rounds of emails with 5 questions at a time. We appreciated the video to show out the views from the apartments, too. Thank you for going above and beyond to making the transition flawless, Kathleen! Shout out to the friendly front desk people that deal me coming down multiple times a week for my packages!

I checked out several fancy apartment buildings in Stamford before moving into Summer House and can frankly tell you this is by far the best one. The building management is also top notch and always willing to help and very responsive to all the requests. Everybody here makes you feel right at home.
