Willow Creek Grill South San Francisco

Good for Airport Food. My wife and I had lunch before boarding our flight home. She a turkey sandwhich which she said was fresh. I had a club sandwich that was packed with good fresh turkey and ham. This is much better than the normal airport joint.

Ok Airport Option. This review covers a couple of visits to Willow Creek Grill in the San Francisco Airport.

This was the first time I had breakfast there.

The lineup was long but the orders were going out on a very quick and regular basis. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. They really do seem dedicated to keeping the line moving. This is unusual for airport restaurants.

I ordered the Bacon and Egg Croissant. It also included potatoes. The croissant was very greasy. The bacon and eggs were good. The food is prepared to order. The cooks seem to be old-school short order cooks. In the end, it was filling. The portion for the potatoes was very small but the portion was exceedingly small.

This is being judged on the internationally recognized airport food scale. It is only on this scale that an overpriced, overcooked, previously frozen burger with average fries can get three stars.

It hit the spot. They were relatively quick. Even though it was overcooked and from frozen, I have had worse burgers. The fries were actually decent. The service was friendly. Which is definitely not a given in an airport. I received my food quickly. In an airport, that can be the most important aspect.

So they get 3 airport food stars.
