my husband had the Chili Verde plate for only $7.99 and I had the Fajita mix with shrimp, beef &chicken for $9.73...they were really good..small..but they had 2 areas to sit...wished it had better air but it WAS really hot out...they also have a drive thru and self serve salsas and tortilla chips
Me And My Co-Worker would always go here for lunch when we were in the area and this is the best food and the waiter girl was very sweet and funny and just a great place to eat!
I stopped in for the first time to support local Monroe businesses and I'm a big fan I've had the #18 the carne asada burrito platter very good I had the fajita combo with steak shrimp and chicken also very good I highly recommended. Support local Monroe businesses during the road construction!!
Amazing food with great service. The meat was tender, tortillas homemade, rice to perfection, and every cent worth it. Best part was sharing it with the love of my life!! 😍💜
Este restaurante tiene comida sabrosa! Todo que ordenamos tan rico. Lo Mas especial hera que estube con el amor de mi vida! 😍💜
Ordered the carnitas plate. I didn't expect much but growing up with my father making these from scratch, I can say they were fantastic.
I don't know who their tortilla supplier is but they were also fantastic- thick and filling.
I'm switching to Gerardo's.
Make Them a Mex Destination.... Every reviewer is spot on about this place, and boy do I appreciate that. These guys are SoCal great, and they separate themselves from other Mex joints in several instances. I loved the chips & salsa bar. I tried--and enjoyed--every one of their salsas, and they offered as many fresh limes you could want/need. Their refried beans were awesome. They gotta be making it with glorious bacon fat, because the flavor finish was unmistakable. Why doesn't everyone else do this? And any time I can get a 2-Chili Relleno platter for under $8, sign me up Pancho Villa. Nice fellas in there, one up front and one on the griddle, who genuinely were enjoying themselves taking care of everyone. It's impossible to dispute other reviewers that this is one of the best Mex dining options in town...
Awesome. Gerardos is awesome - this is the best taqueria in town, period (yes, better than Atilanos). Just don't come here and expect a "sit-down restaurant": there are no waiters or servers. You seat yourself, get your own chips and salsa, and take care of your own drink, and because of that they can keep prices low... REALLY low for the quality and amount of tasty food you receive! This is just how I like it. The negatives are few but nothing to brush aside: I'm not a big fan of their salsas at all - they are all kind of watered-down and bland; however, they do complement the food pretty well. Also, I have to knock off a point or so because whoever opens the place (I think it's the manager/owner) isn't exactly worried about opening as advertised on their door - I've seen tardiness up to 45-60 minutes. This has been a problem several times, and is very annoying.
Excellent Mexican food. I’m from Central California, where there are a lot of Hispanics. Persons of Mexican descent are very common. Consequently, Central California has excellent Mexican food, for the most part. In Spokane, the opposite is true. (Spokane does have good food but it’s generally not Mexican or Asian). Gerardo’s is a delicious exception. It’s owned by the same family as Abelardo’s, in Spokane Valley. The food is homemade and fresh. Their chile rellenos are excellent. Like Abelardo’s, they make their beans with lard, which is traditional. I don’t care for the fattiness of their refried beans. Other than that, Gerardo’s serves quite tasty Mexican food at a reasonable price.

So thnx staff for a great experience on this day... 3:28pm April 2nd.....
One of the tastiest salsa bars in the area with unlimited chips if you order a burrito.
Get the adobada chimichanga. Squeeze two limes into some hot sauce. Use them on the burrito.
You will not regret this decision.
awesome food, I come here often. open late and on many holidays. Come here instead of taco bell!
I found the service delightful. I wish they had some pictures on their menu.
I found the food delicious, but after 40 years of Tex-Mex and New-Mex, not what I was used to. The Super Nachos were meat-rich and delicious. The Fajita Mix on the other hand was just a bit disappointing. It had lots of meat, as promised, but was all beef despite a promise of beef, chicken and shrimp. It also was very short on things like bell pepper and onion which I consider essential. (Again, 40 years in Texas.) Also, I always thought the meat should be cooked then sliced and hit with a bit of lime juice, rather than sliced and then seared, although that is the form you usually find in the butcher's case.
The Mexican Rice was delicious, but again, lacked bell pepper. The beans had a good flavor, and mixed with cheese, but seemed to be run through a blender rather than mashed.
The cups of salsa included with the meal (both red and green) were delicious.
For this far from the border, they do pretty darn good.
Absolutely amazing. Never disappointed. The wait for your food can feel long sometimes (like 15-20 minutes nothing insane) but it's *always* worth it. We were afraid we wouldn't find any good Mexican food after leaving Texas but thank goodness we were wrong!
