I, like most, need to have that morning cup, of fresh ground, fresh brewed coffee. I have a habit though, of going into a big box store and spending a considerable amount time smelling all of the different aromas, and getting excited to brew myself a cup. I buy a bag, grind it up, and get so excited to take that first sip. Then, the let down.......
I purchased a bag of Mexican Chiapas this past weekend from Flying Crow Coffee Company, at the Springfield Farmers market. As soon as I arrived home, I measured out my beans, placed them into the grinder, and ground them to a medium consistency for my French press......
As the “Magic” was happening, my mouth began to uncontrollably salivate, as I impatiently waited. The smell, oh the smell, it is intoxicating. A plethora of floral aromas, hinting of exotic nuts and fruits......
After my recommended wait (to which seemed like forever), I pressed the coffee and emptied the infused liquid into my “go to” mug. Now mind you, it was unadulterated coffee. No milk, no cream, no sugar, nothing. Just straight, black, liquid gold.......
Not only did the Flying Crow Coffee Company restore my faith in the coffee gods, they took me on a journey through mountainous Mayan rainforests, to the beautifully carved out terrains, back to the harvest, in which my beans were plucked from their divine life source.
Coffee for me, will never be the same.
I'm always trying different coffees and this is honestly the best coffee I've ever had, As I type I'm drinking a cup of Columbia medium roast. It's so smooth and delicious. I've tried many of the other roasts and they are all equally wonderful with different flavor notes.
I am a bit of a finicky coffee snob and I must say the Badger Blend is my favorite, it reminds me of what home used to be and tastes of hugs and hope! It is a smooth cupa and makes my mouth happy. I have heart burn problems a lot and this coffee doesn't make it act up at all. Great all around.
