It is so good every time we come here! Decided to try their seasonal entrees and I got the short rib stroganoff. It was incredibly delicious - so full of flavor. My boyfriend got the homemade ravioli with meatballs. Probably the best ravioli and meatballs I’ve had. The drinks were really good and strong! Our server was so nice and friendly. Super attentive. The vibes were great, very intimate and perfect for date night.
That’s the gnocchi burrata, meatball appetizer and carbonara. As well as the pomegranate zero proof it was so beautiful I loved the garnishing and it was 8/10. The meatballs were amazing 10/10. I’ve never buratta but it was 8/10. The bread and hot oil 10/10.
My friends and I came here for dinner at 4 on the dot when they opened as we had a concert to attend and wanted to grab a bite to eat quickly. We got seated right away and we sat for a bit before getting drinks. We ordered calamari for an appetizer and it was good. After we received our appetizer we waited almost an hour for our main courses to come out and we were one of the first ones to be seated when they opened. The entrees we ordered were chicken riggies, chicken Parmesan and the shrimp and scallop scampi. The riggies were delicious and the chicken Parmesan was also very good. The shrimp and scallop scampi was okay but too lemony for my taste and the white wine was almost overpowering. The scallops were overcooked but the shrimp was excellent. Overall, for our first experience it was pretty good but next time I won't be ordering the scampi and hopefully the wait isn't so long for the entrees. We will try again in the near future.
They have started to take a limited number of reservations and allow you to put your name on a wait-list by phone or internet, but we didn't want to chance it, so we arrived at 4pm and got a table right away. As 5pm approached, it appeared as though folks who were arriving were considering other options for dinner instead of waiting for a table.
We enjoyed sitting outside in the front, but would request the courtyard next time for a more romantic/quiet setting.
The menu is seasonal. Right now they have two on menu vegan entrees (Impossible meatball riggies, Pasta Rosa), as well as 3 vegan sauces (basil pesto, vegan pink cream, marinara) to go with any of the vegan pasta options. They also have an appetizer "caprese" made with vegan ricotta, which makes at least three vegan cheeses on the menu (along with feta in the primavera, Parm on the riggies). We loved the Pasta Rosa and the caprese. They always have at least one vegan dessert. The strawberry lemonade cake today was creative, but was just ok for us. Service was attentive (leaning perhaps slightly too attentive between all of the staff checking in and stopping by). Staff is knowledgeable about vegan options. Bread is excellent.
For the quality food and service, the price is reasonable. We had 3 alcoholic drinks, 1 app, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, 1 espresso, 1 after dinner port and it was $135 plus tip.
Met up with an old friend here. Neither of us live in Syracuse, it this place looked good- it didn’t disappoint.
The food was quite good. I really enjoyed the spicy bolognese and meatballs. The spicy tomato oil was very good and the perfect complement to the soft delicious bread.
The Sonoma Caesar salad was delicious- perfectly balanced, just the right amount of sauce, and delicious sun dried tomatoes.
The pasta was perfectly Al dente and tasted homemade.
Amazing food & atmosphere. Exceeded expectations. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! 10/10 recommend, we ordered the chicken riggies turndown, chicken parm, bread with the tomato oil, caesar salad (phenomenal), and a side pesto pasta! The ordering process is extremely easy to do through the QR code on your phone, allows staff to focus on bringing orders over quickly! Please come to Rochester!
I dont like going to Italian restaurants because I usually feel like I can cook it for cheaper and better. Well I def can't cook this. Aldate pasta with great flavors I will try hard to replicate. Great dipping sauce. Friendly staff. I understand why the lines are long.
Never had a bad meal here, and today was no different. Our waitress Gina was excellent. She had great recommendations and made the night memorable with her attention to detail.
We’ll be back, of course!
Thoroughly enjoy our dinner here!! We did not know how famous this restaurant is until that day when we called to make a reservation, we were being put on a 3.5 hours long wait list. Since we were not in a rush, and the live SMS access wait list was very helpful, it was a positive experience despite the long wait. Our wait staff was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food was very delicious and generous in portion. We love the pasta sauce that we bought some prepared one to take home to Canada!!
Heard that if I am in Syracuse, you have to go here at least once and it didn’t disappoint.
Food was good and vibes were decent. Next time I am in town, I’ll definitely be dropping by.
