Went for the baked goods and was a little disappointed with some of the items. Apple cheesecake in particular was somewhat dry, not creamy like normal cheesecake. The apricot cookies were also a little bland. Maybe I just picked bad items?
Other than that the store is clean, has great variety of European items and a large selection of sausages and beer of course.
The outside patio area is a bit dirty, table I sat at was sticky. There's groups if people that enjoy the area by drinking their beer but that contributes to the slightly messy area. Don't know how often they clean the area, as I was there for about 30mins and didn't see anyone tend the tables or trash can that was full to the brim with bottles/cans.
This is my quick fix if I need some german food that I miss sometimes soo much! Find my ingredients to cook my favorite meal ,bread ..better to order ahead or sold out! And the food is delicious special the Curry sausage ! Nice Lunch with a cold german beer! Service very friendly! The Village is always fun to see ,you can buy german xmas decorations all year long and other special german merchandise!
Great place to come and grab German groceries and food. The currywurst is amazing to eat and you can get goulash as well which is a hearty meat stew. The grocery store has a lot of the same meats from the cafe and the bakery boasts a lot of the bread from German bakeries as well. The store is small but has a lot of things that you may want to pick up imported such as beers and harder grocery knick knacks from a German market.
