Fantastic German food! My wife and I recently moved here from Queens NY, just a few blocks from a famous German restaurant with 2 Michelin stars. We were excited to try Bavarian Kitchen but we kept our expectations low due to what were used to in NY. We were BLOWN AWAY! The food was absolutely incredible!!! The service was super friendly and attentive and the portions were tremendous. Great food, great beer, great desert and unmatched service. This place is just as good or better than the restaurant we're used to. We have become instant regulars.
Update: We brought family and they wont stop talking about the how good the food was! Can't wait to share this place with more family.
We were passing through Troutman NC and Had an AMAZING experience at the Bavarian Kitchen!! Even though we did not have a reservation, Amber let us sit at the bar. Food was good and enough on each plate for two people!! Husband got the schnitzel special and I got the sausage meatloaf. (yes, there's a German name but don't ask me!!🤦🏼♀️😂). I ordered a glass of sweet red wine and enjoyed it! For dessert, German Eclair! Light and fluffy, not overly sweet. I had the one with the chocolate sauce. The servers were also AMAZING!! We sat at the bar and had the opportunity to interact with each of them!! I didn't get all their names, but Amber was our server and we met Karen too! Even though they were very busy, they were pleasant and spoke to us! And let me take their picture! I definitely want to go back!! I could have gone to the BBQ place nearby but wanted something different! They did NOT disappoint me!! Thank you to all the servers for making our night and experience a good one!!!
I loved the amazing warm environment and lively atmosphere! I came for my 18th birthday dinner and it has been super memorable. The food is amazing and well worth every penny! Proportions are really big which leaves room for you to eat more later! It was exactly how I remember food back in Germany! I hope to eat here again soon!
First time visiting here, we love German food and this place is worth the trip. They have German beer you can't get anywhere else in NC which is delicious, was so good I had 2 litres which was really pushing it but it was so good. The salad was awesome, best I have had in a long time. It had German potato salad in it and a type of slaw which was very good. The schnitzel was served in large portions breaded and very tender, the mushroom gravey was good but I have had better but I'm not complaining due to everything else being on point. The waitress was very courteous and was very knowledgeable about the menu. I can't wait to go back!
My husband took me to Bavarian Kitchen this week for my birthday and they did not disappoint. So delicious! I had the Jager schnitzel and there was plenty to take home for lunch the next day. Great service and price.
Delicious food and huge portions. My wife and daughter will split a meal next time it was so much. The Schnitzel is delicious and the mushroom sauce is comforting and divine. Even the fries and spatzel were great. The giant pretzel was good but served cold which was unexpected. Probably our ignorance of Bavarian pretzels. Excellent beers, great service and a comfortable atmosphere topped it off. Can’t wait to check out the beer garden during Oktoberfest and try some of their sausages.
Our first time visiting Bavarian Kitchen in Troutman, we will definately be going back!!! We called in our reservation a little too late and ate at the bar, which was very nice and were introduced to Tina who was the best sever, she knows everything about the menu! Recommend to everyone!!!
Excellent food! Excellent service! This is the most authentic German restaurant I have been in here in the United States. I lived in Germany for over 4 years and I'm so happy to find a real German restaurant! I highly recommend the Bavarian kitchen!
