Consider this a 3.5 star review rounded up. Came in just before lunch time ended (lunch pricing is from open till 4 and we got there at 3:20) and noticed the beautiful, aged, but delightfully accented Asian decor. The service was prompt and polite, and we got a kids apple juice, lemonade and water. In our first sweep we got chow mien(delicious, though this is the first time I've had it made with spaghetti noodles), sesame chicken(crisp, sweet, and savory), chicken on a stick (flavored similarly to teriyaki, and honestly I thought it was delicious, if a little dry), fried wontons(filled with cream cheese and dipped in sweet/sour sauce, a classic flavor combo), green beans(greasy but well cooked and flavored), and mushrooms (absolutely delicious). On the second sweep, honey shrimp (perfectly sweet and creamy, shrimp was cooked well), spicy mushroom chicken (quite a kick, same flavor profile as mushrooms), broccoli beef (perfect as it were), Peking rib (dry, not a winner for me though it was flavored Peking style), and a cup of hot and sour soup (pretty bland, I doctored it with soy and pepper and still couldn't finish it). For the last sweep, tapioca and banana pudding (tapioca was better), tiramisu (a bit too rich for my taste), chocolate blue bunny ice cream(free for dine in, $.50 for take out!), star pie (like a Chinese moon pie but better) and a custard bao (10/10 would eat 50 more of I could). Overall, for the price per person and the selection, this place is an amazing choice. I docked one star for the fact that sushi wasn't present despite many reviews claiming it's available, which tells me there's no reliable time sushi will be there, and part of the reason I went was for want of a sushi option. You can miss the egg roll (I found it terrible personally) and the hot/sour soup. For two adults and a kid including an $8 tip, we left $43 lighter, which was fine enough for me. All staff were masked; tables/seats/silverware clean, removal of plates was prompt and unobtrusive, and most importantly, the food rotated very quickly. There were no "films" or stagnant foods, though some items were warmer than others (think heat lamp vs steam tray depending on which island it was stored upon). I would return if in the area, and saw many Asians besides myself eating here, which, where I'm from, is a good sign. Stop by after Cinergy I'd you're looking for a good bang for your buck. Parking is plentiful with handicap accessible parking, double door entrances with quarter and claw machines in the foyer; bathrooms were clean and well stocked. They have toothpicks and serve fortune cookies at the end of the meal.
Very clean restrooms and dining room. Nice selection of food, sushi, and a hibachi grill which is very good. They have four soups, a great salad and dessert bars. They do offer Sr. Discounts for 65 and over. Definitely worth a stop if you've never been before. Lunch cost $9.76 per person.
