Made it a point to find this establishment, based on seeing it profiled on Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods:Delicious Destinations." Well worth the visit! Pusties are like taking in a mouthful of heaven ! Employees were welcoming and made many great suggestions. This will be a stop every time I visit Utica.
Carusos did a huge spread of Italian pastries, chocolate covered strawberries, and my wedding cake for our big day. The cake was "to die for" and they listened to every detail and wish of mine! I have a giant sweet tooth so this was a very important detail to me. I couldn't be happier with the quality, taste, the display and the delivery of everything. People are still raving about it all. Thank you again for the authenticity, tradition and delicious goodies!
Caruso's ricotta cannoli are the best I ever had. That includes ITALY!! Their filling is the creamiest and tastiest, not too sweet! The cannoli shells are made in-house! That makes, them delicately crispy and perfectly sized so the ratio between filling and shell is PERFECT. I grew up eating Caruso's cannoli and rum cakes for all special occasions. St Joseph's is a true treat with the hand crafted puff pastry stuffed with the perfect filling. This family run bakery/cafe is a GEM of Utica!!
This is by far my favorite Italian dessert place🙌🏼
The atmosphere is old school & the conversations are always great! They treat you like family❤
If you have the chance💁🏻 May I suggest the
"St Joseph" one w custard!!! Omg 😍😍😍

I grew up with Caruso's. In my family, we always had a rum cake on our birthdays and pastries on Sunday. Love this shop.
