I � this place, the ice cream AND the youthful, fun staff! Best ice cream anywhere! I make special trips from Oxnard just because a flavor is calling my name (usually Churros con leche)! Do me a favor and bring back Cinnamon Stick ��!

The flavor variations available are really quite distinctive, with some that never would have occurred to me as being possible, yet this company manages to make them work, such as English Biscuit with Earl Grey and numerous others that I don't immediately recall. The ice cream itself is so rich that I occasionally find myself overwhelmed with the standard 1-scoop portion, so I generally stick with the kids size. They also offer various sorbet flavors, which are equally intensely flavored. I usually choose the paper bowl (made with recycled stock and biodegrabeable), but they also offer cones and waffle cones. They're a bit pricier than chain stores such as Baskin-Robbins, but you're paying for higher quality, and they deliver in a big way.

One of 3 original stores and the only store still owned by the original owners! Get the real McConnells ice cream here! My fav so far is the earl grey butter cookie; no words to describe the deliciousness! If you are a fan of hot fudge sundae , this is the place to get an old fashioned sundae with homemade hot fudge. Everything is fresh and yummy. And, the staff are nice and friendly. A little slice of small hometown.
