Food was very good and was made quickly, the spring rolls and the chicken and broccoli was also very good. Also the customer service was great, every time you needed something they were there to get it. Overall great. Would recommend to anyone.
My uncle's Chinese friend brought us here after claiming it is his favorite authentic Chinese food he's had in the States. He ordered for us all and the wait staff brought us a buffet of dishes to share amongst ourselves. Wonton in spicy oil, eggplant in garlic sauce, Sauteed string beans w/ pork, orange chicken, sliced pork belly w/ bean sprouts and more... Everything was amazing and Sichuan Pepper is now my favorite Chinese restaurant too.
For those claiming the dishes are "bland" and have "no heat", I challenge you to eat a whole hot and spicy bowl without bodily fluids pouring from every orifice in your face. Order something besides the generic dinner combos and you may be pleasantly surprised.
Just got takeout for the first time. Many friends and local reviewers have said their food is genuine, authentic, well-prepared and properly seasoned. I couldn't agree more -- it all was great. Dishes were beautifully done, and the spices were balanced, aromatic, and wonderfully varied amongst the assorted dishes. Everything had a clean, fresh, clear flavor and mouth feel. Some of the dishes had seasonings which were unfamiliar to my palate, and the experience was like turning down a street which you've never traveled on before to discover an exciting new neighborhood. Their fare is about as far as you can get from the gloppy, soupy, heterogeneous mess that describes so much neighborhood take-out. This is the best Chinese food I've had since Colleen's in Cambridge (and that was a long, long time ago).
What we ordered...
Appetizers: cold black mushrooms in vinegar, steamed dumplings, Sichuan-style cold noodles, minced beef and tofu soup
Entrees: ginger chicken, vegetable fried rice
We kept things relatively familiar for a first-time outing. Their menu is extensive and frankly a little intimidating, and I can't wait to explore more of it.
Best by far, go out of the way to make our experience perfect. Every dish is absolutely delicious. So much flavor, i would leave 10 star review if I could.
Very good and authentic food from Sichuan province, plus more Westernized dishes for the less adventurous. Very generous portions at reasonable prices. The Dan Dan Noodles are spectacular.
