This review is based on taste and quality. Went to Walt’s for the first time in maybe a decade. Still delicious 😋 like when I first had them 20 years ago, but man then prices tho… I paid like $14 for a meal I used to pay $7.50 on 😳. Not their fault as everything generally in the world has gone up due to COVID. Didn’t expect the price hike to be that significant, otherwise I would be more frequently going there since back after 7+ years.

In the mood for Walt's. Had stopped at the Post Road location, but they are now closed by 3pm on Sundays. Decided to drive up to the city. Walt's prices have been rising, steadily, these past 5 years. Post-pandemic... The price of Everything has risen to the extent that Walt's is now a Rare treat for us. We have been regular customers, since they 1st opened their doors. Now, our original favorite meals of sandwiches, sides, dessert would be $60+. No. If we are spending That much to go out, it will Not Be at a fast food establishment. So, we each ordered a single sandwich and split a small drink & small onion ring. Still dropped $20. And left hungry. The portions have also decreased. Not complaining about Walt's. The food was Delicious, as always. The employees were fast, friendly and cheerful. The dining room & restrooms were spotless. It is just the way of the world right now. Except for the Ouch, a very pleasant experience.

I have to say, I used to think Walt's was sub par. However, today when I placed my order - everthying was made fresh. I found out that EVERY order is made fresh for that single order. My mozzarella sticks, fries, and sandwich were all made to order. Needless to say, I'm very impressed with the quality of the meal I had.
