Ri Ra The Irish Pub Georgetown Dc Washington DC

A well kept Irish Pub right in the heart of Georgetown. We had the shepherds pie and the Dubliner (a delicious lamb burger). Well priced for the area and very good service. Great beer selection as well with the obvious Guinness lineup. Recommend. (Heads up, they don't take Discover card which is unfortunate).

My husband and I were renewing our vows for our 10th anniversary. I called pretty much every Irish pub in Washington DC and none could accommodate what I was looking for until I talk to Ri Ra in Georgetown. I am so glad I did. 1, The service - Paula the event coordinator was so organized and so helpful. She was amazing. She was so attentive to our needs and she made sure all that I needed was available to me. Olive was our server and she was just as wonderful. She got my guests drinks, served cake, and became best friends with my daughter. Paula let us come in and decorate the rooms. She made sure we had all the extension cords and items we needed to make our night special including having enough room for our seven foot Balinese umbrella. 2. The food - WOW! Everyone raved about the food. The kids loved the mashed potatoes and the adults raved about everything else. The chef even used my mom's peanut sauce recipe for the chicken satay and he did a wonderful job replicating the authentic Indonesian taste. The food was of high quality especially the Irish Chicken Curry. That dish went fast! They refilled the salads, the food, etc, quickly when we ran out. People went up for seconds and thirds! We did it buffet style and at $30 a person it was so reasonable especially since we got 3 entrees, 2 sides, soup and salad. 3. The venue - it's a such a unique place. We used both the Whiskey Room and President's Room. The pictures online don't do it justice. We had 44 people at our vow renewal and there was plenty of room for a dance floor, places for people to eat, a DJ, and a photo booth. Paula did such a great job setting up the space! If you didn't want to dance, my guests could chill in the Whiskey Room. Kevin the bartender was great with my guests and serving awesome drinks. The Guinness, according to my Irish husband, was a very good pour. 4. The atmosphere - the bar has an awesome vibe. Its friendly and sweet. It reminds me of the neighborhood pubs we went to in Ireland.
