Had a Rueben on Rye here for lunch, and it's was pretty good and hot. They're a little pricey, but they do good business in the area. Inside and outside seating. Staff was nice, smiling, and helpful. They have a nice coffee selection, also. May try them again if working in the area.
Amazing coffee (I get the normal roast; the huge cups are a plus) and great buttered/toasted bagels in the morning. For lunch, the BLTs are my personal favorite (especially with the pepper jelly). It’s such a quick easy option and so close to Union Station! Quick and good service (although sometimes it can be hard for them to hear what you order); just be clear with them on what you want. Overall, I would highly recommend! 😊
Excellent little Cafe! I had a Reuben and it was delicious! The staff were very friendly and had the sandwich done fast! Will definitely be back to try other things!
I love the food at this place. It’s so delicious and the atmosphere is very inviting. The drinks are good as well! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends. You can come here and have a great time!
Cafe Phillips at 50 F St. NW in Washington is an awesome place. Karla and her staff do an excellent job. All of the sandwiches and soups are amazing. Be sure to try the chicken soup. It is amazing!
Good Egg, Cheese and Meat sandwiches
The bread is good.
They are pretty huge! Maybe 3 eggs per sandwich?! I shared one
This place should have MUCH higher reviews. Excellent made to order sandwiches with good quality ingredients. Great variety for chip and drink options. Very friendly service. A sandwich, chips, drink comes to about $18 - which is average for a lunch in this area. Well worth it.
Super friendly staff. Family atmosphere. Good coffee. I personally appreciated the availability of fresh fruit.
Dropped in for the first time after forgetting my breakfast rushing to work and I have to say I'll be back.
Space was clean and well organized, even if it is a bit small. Tons of grab&go options.
Cashier had no qualms about pausing her meal to wring me up and make me a red eye. Lady working the griddle was very fast. I was in and out in a little over 5 minutes with a good coffee and a basic but very filling breakfast burrito.
What a neighborhood treasure. We were on vacation staying at the Hilton Capitol Hill and went for breakfast every morning of our stay. Cafe Phillips has friendly staff, great coffee and made to order breakfast sandwiches. Great morning stop if you are in the neighborhood.
