I’m always so satisfied when I eat here. Haven’t even gone through the whole menu yet but every new thing I try is delicious. The buttery coco bread, the variety of patties and the generous portions of the platters. Oh and the sandwiches!! Please they are a must try!! And the prices! Especially these days! I am really so happy that Negril has stood the test of time and the pandemic. It really is a jewel in DC as far as I’m considered. When they change the look of the menu or their bags or whatever growth that occurs, I am so proud!

Have you checked out @negrileats yet?! Why not?.. Multiple locations all around the DMV. 🫣it was my first time trying oxtails & man they were bussin. Jerk chicken had really good flavor & spice! We tried the jerk chicken, curry chicken & beef empanadas… all of them were delish!

I ordered stew chicken, rice and peas with cabbage, and also got a side of plantains. The chicken, rice and plantains were good, would definitely come again, didn't like the cabbage though, lacked the flavor I'm used to with steamed cabbage.

The food is good. Served fresh, with a good amount of authenticity to it. Good location to HU. Reasonable prices. The eating area is a little small. Take out may be a better call if your group is bigger than four. 4.25.

The 4 stars isn’t for the food. The food is awesome! The Jerk Chicken is very flavorful but also very hot! Oxtails are to die for, thick, rich gravy, tender, everything you’d expect. The beans and rice could use a bit more flavor but still good. Same for the cabbage. I only gave 4 stars because there’s no place to sit inside, unlike one other location that I’ve been to (don’t remember where it was), and the customer service could use a little help. They weren’t rude just not excited to serve people. Either way, it’s worth it. Try this location or another. I’ve been to two now, while traveling for business in this area and I haven’t been disappointed.

This is my favorite go-to place (DC, Georgia Ave) when I want to have brunch and extend breakfast to lunch. The restaurant opens at 10:30AM so I order then and this meal can last into dinner because of the portion size. Although in this pic there are only 4 potatoes and a few pieces of meat, typically they include more meat and potatoes. Nevertheless, this "dinner" usually comes with curry chicken, cabbage and rice but the rice is too crunchy so I choose to double the rice. The food is delicious 😋.
