We tried Butterfly for the first time tonight because we bought a groupon. We will definitely be back. This is our new favorite Chinese restaurant!! The atmosphere is amazing and the food was so fresh and not greasy or heavy. First time I have ever stuffed myself with Chinese food and not felt gross after! The sesame chicken was the best I have ever had... Actually everything we ordered was the best ever. We had crab rangoon, beef fried rice, wonton soup, dumplings, lomein, lemon chicken and mango shrimp with chicken. We LOVED every bite. Smart move to do groupon and get us in the door. We will be back again and again!!
Butterfly Chinese Restaurant is a great place to celebrate special occasions with family and friends. They have a private room you can use for your special events and the food and service is great!
Been dining here since I was a little girl with my nana. It was her favorite Chinese restaurant. We have celebrated many occasions here... Yesterday we had a memorial birthday dinner for our recently deceased loved one and the host and staff were overly accommodating and provided my family and I with excellent service not to mention the great food and drinks. The private room creates a very intimate setting and the family style traditional dining created the right ambiance we desired.....FAMILY! I would recommend this restaurant to my friends, great service, great food and great prices.

Terrific food, great service!!! A new favorite. The beef with spinach was ethereally amazing.
Egg drop soup was good. Got the scallion pancake. It was not the vegetables shaped like a crepe I've had at other places. It looked like many triangular toast points presented attractively around a plate. It was good just not what I expected. Service was attentive.

This is not your typical fast food Chinese take-out. This is a sit-down restaurant with a fresh take on all the classic favorites.
I had hot and sour soup and General Tsao’s. The soup was delicious, it was brothy and not super thick and syrupy. Very fresh. The chicken was recognizable as real chicken and cooked crispy. There was definitely fresh ginger in the sauce. You can tell it was cooked to order, like it came out of a homemade kitchen. This was one of the best if not the best Chinese meal I’ve ever had. I would totally try this as takeout too, not just for dine in!
I have only ever had egg rolls and crab Rangoon here and they were good. I believe it's more or less your typical Americanized Chinese restaurant just more grandiose. The atmosphere is really great. This is the spot for karaoke in all of Hartford county. It's always a party when I have been there and it doesn't matter if a pro has the mic or some drunk trying to pour their heart out at the expense of our ears it's always amped up and positive.
Very delicious and yummy. I highly recommend the tofu and vegetable dish in white sauce.
I haven't eaten anything from Butterfly in years, at least 10. From the 1st bite, I was reminded how delicious their food is. Customer service was excellent and my food was ready when I got there.
