Be aware they have their own gluten free menu. We are also doing full paleo for the month so no dairy either. Was very easy to adapt our order and my skillet was very tasty with the onions and peppers really popping! My wife got the pesto avocado egg sandwich with Gf bread and really liked it. Solid old school diner ambience as well.
Good morning! Always wanted to try le peep and this Sunday morning seemed like a good chance to do so. They are very popular for good reason and typically very busy so we opted for pickup / to go ordered online. The site has good options to customize ingredients-based on the food we received I think they could take it a step further. They were very busy when I ordered at 1:15pm and I endeavor to be empathetic, but most of our food was woefully undercooked. I understand that they get into a hurry and may not have time to grill them or see them to where they’re cooked well but these were cold and somewhat raw inside. See photo. We ordered the salmon Benedict which is accompanied by peasant potatoes. Does that mean uncooked? Not being snarky. Their hollandaise was exceptional and lemony — should have ordered extra. Smoked salmon was generous but would have like to had our English muffin toasted for ingredients to have a crunchy foundation for the Benedict. Is that not a thing?? It was soggy but yummy. We ordered the pancake of the month — lemon ricotta blueberry. Good flavor but very disappointing they provide corn syrup flavored like maple syrup. Overall, not going to ding them - the food will last three days at my house. I’d much rather have a smaller portion properly cooked. Had to ask for our lattes which were dead cold immediately after preparation. I asked if silverware was included that I asked for / checked as “needed” online and I asked if it was in the bag. Nope. Got to eating and no silverware. Also no ketchup as requested. All In all, feels like their to go customers are in for a wild ride with quality disparities. Sorry le peep!! Not your best day I’m sure.
As the closest place to my apt, for location alone it gets 5 stars. It isn't Perkins which went out of business, which was great because of the memberries of sitting at a Perkins as a teenager drinking coffee, or soaking up the alcohol after the bar as a young adult back in the Midwest... But I am not in the Midwest anymore. It's good, it's close and it's diner food. Pancakes etc. Plus some south of the border options. Love the potatoes that are served with the meals, better than Perkins hash browns tbh.
