Mcdonald's Wichita Falls

As we walked into McDonald’s on Thursday evening,keely asked if she could place the order. A man named Jeremy greeted us at the counter. With great enthusiasm , Keely placed the entire order! Little did Jeremy know ,that behind her crystal blue eyes, she held a secret ! Just hours before,her heart lay crushed beneath the choices of others! So,just what did this man named Jeremy do? He made her feel important! He made her feel that she mattered! He knew nothing of the series of events that had occurred just hours before! Her face showed no signs of the tears that flowed as she held on to me , repeating “ Not again ! Nana! Not again! He treated her like the most important person in the room . Jeremy turned and politely demanded that her order be made fresh ! Everything ! He said ! Everything! He then fist bumped her and said “I got you! “ It might sound stupid that I’m making such a big deal about a man who simply took my granddaughter’s order. He made her eyes smile. Just for a minute , I swear I could hear the pieces of her heart slowly begin to click back together! she gave no indication that her world , as she knew it ,was now toppling down around her ! So , instead of feeling the weight of the past few hours , we left there ,giggling & holding hands! I left there silently thinking of the man , named Jeremy , who simply made a difference ! As the rollercoaster ride begins again...
