I’m speechless! The service was top notch and the food....well I’m definitely taking my family back for more. The pork belly bites are the highlight of the starter menu along with the smoked pimento cheese. As for the meats, brisket is the best I’ve had in all my travels! The pulled pork and chicken was tender, moist and seasoned to perfection! All served piping hot and ready to go. The pablano Mac and cheese was to die for. The fries were excellent but the sweet potato waffle fries were definitely worth every bite. The fried pork belly was equally amazing! My son had the Bahn mi sandwich which he talked about the whole back to our resort. It too was fantastic. So much for being speechless, definitely one the top meals I’ve ever had. The only thing I’d like to see is a smoked artisan sausage added to the menu. Yes, it is a little pricier than normal low end bbq, but with locally sourced and sustainable menu items, the freshness and love put into the product is definitely noticeable. And the few more ‘exotic’ menu items are a great way to introduce something new but in a comfortable and familiar way. So for the few negative reviews I’ve read, it definitely wasn’t our experience. Nor was it he experience of the other diners we could hear raving about the food. This place is now in my top 5 eateries that I’ve ever visited.
This place is IT!! I love brisket and this place is where it’s at!! Plenty of fat on the brisket to make it succulent. I took a chance on the pork belly and was pleased, thick cuts of pork with crispy fat edges......I am in heaven!!! Their tater salad has bacon, my favorite potatoe salad since my German oma’s. The cole slaw was crisp, tangy, and just the right amount of creamy, plus a little kick!!
My server, Brian, was great. He brought us a Heritage Brewing Mint Chocolate Chip pint, interesting and good.
This place is a must visit BBQ joint when your in or anywhere near Williamsburg VA!!!!
We had a large party on the last night of our family vacation last night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was great facilities were clean. But none of that compares to the food. OMG so good. Everyone in our party was impressed. I had the sweet and spicy wings, the pork belly tacos, mac & cheese and cornbread. Everything was Delicious and authentic. Great meal to end our family trip on. Highly recommend.
Scratch made glory. Smoke, pickles, best pimento cheese I’ve had. If the slow smoked Duroc pork BBQ and brisket weren’t enough, trying all the house made condiments is worth another visit. Locally owned with uncompromising quality. Clean and unpretentious. Go and spend some money there!
We just love this place. We eat here every time we come to Williamsburg. They have the Best staff and awesome food. The food gets better every visit!! We have a blast at Jamfest!!! See y'all on our next trip to Busch Gardens.
We had a great meal. The brisket was very good as was the pulled pork but the pork belly stole the show! It was fantastic! The greens were very good. Pickles were tasty. Not my style of coleslaw but good.
Absolutely phenomenal barbeque. I mean really, it's fantastic. The service is also very great. Our server was excellent, nice and patient as I ordered almost one of everything on the menu. The Bourbon honey mustard sauce on the wings is excellent. The ribs amazing. I'm telling you this is some actual good BBQ.
Came with my patient and her ladies group. The service was wonderful. I had the arugula salad and I don’t eat meat. They also have a portobello mushroom burger also. Price was fair given the size of portions. Will definitely come back for the drinks as they have what looked like a decent size bar.
Delicious smoked meat and super fresh arugula salad. Also impressed about the great service and waffle sweet potato fries. 5 stars of 5. Clean. Tasty. Kind.
I got the pick 3 tacos sampler: the chicken was good, the pork belly was better, and the brisket was best. My side was the poblano Mac and cheese which was EXCELLENT. Very creamy with the perfect amount of heat. 10/10 highly recommend the brisket taco and Mac and cheese. The wait staff was also very good, fast, and friendly.
