J. R. 's fries have the best fries in York. All their other food is very good, too. I especially love their chicken pot pie. We stop in for lunch every chance we get.

Our family has been going to JR's for breakfast every single Saturday morning for nearly ten years, & Ron, Jesse, & Rob have become like family to us � Their kindness and generosity and love for the downtown community show in everything they do. They are committed to quality food, exceptional service, & honest pricing, & Jesse's fries have spoiled us for anything else. We are so fortunate to have JR's as part of the York City landscape, & look forward to eating breakfast with them for another ten years to come �

JR's is worthy of a food pilgrimage. Their menu is varied without being unwieldy, because their staples are always there and they are consistently delicious. You will never go wrong with their pot pie and fries! All good restaurants have an employee or two who is raved about by customers. JR's rises above all others on this front. It's impossible to single out any employee because they're all amazing. I have no clue how they all manage to keep up with the pace of orders without ever becoming impatient or doling out anything besides smiles and kind words, but they manage it just fine. Seriously, they AND their food are must-visits in York!
