Second time we have ate here. The staff is very helpful with ordering suggestions, which make the food even better. The staff is very nice and make sure your visit is great. The food is amazing. They have a celiacs menu. When you place the order, the order is marked several times to ensure the gluten free is seen. Any burger on the regular menu can be made gluten free.
This place is the juggernaut of burgers. Also, they have the best fries around. I recommend the Bandito burger.
Have only eaten here a few times, but the food so delicious! I don't eat red meat so I'm happy that they have other options on the menu.
It was amazing! Stopped here on the way home from the beach and was not dissapointed. They cater to ceiliac and have a separate station to prepare gluten free food.
The burger pattie itself was the way a burger should be. Fresh, not frozen. Cooked to juicy perfection. All the toppings were fresh and high quality. No wilted lettuce out of a bag. You can taste the difference when every ingredient is fresh, the way it should be. The bun was toasted just right and adds to the overall flavor. I've never had a better burger. There is no better French fry than a handcut in house fry like they make here. Wish I lived closer so I could get here more often. Maybe I'll just have to visit Maine more often.
Our trip to Maine is never complete without a stop at Wild Willy's. amazing burgers!!!!
The best burgers in Maine or all of New England for that matter! Fresh ingredients and deliscious toppings!
Wild Willy's is a great spot to grab a burger in York, Maine.
With a variety of burgers made from locally sourced meats and fresh cut fries from Maine potato's Wild Willy's shows an attention to detail and a focus on doing a couple of things very well rather than trying to do a bunch of things just okay.
I went with the "Smokehouse Burger" which had cheese, bacon, mushrooms and a homemade smokehouse sauce. The burger was great but with the attention to detail I was slightly disappointed to see the mushrooms appeared to be canned mushrooms (which were also cold on the burger.)
The fries themselves were delicious, fresh cut local Maine potato's fried once in trans fat free vegetable oil. Wild Willy's points out that the intentionally do not sure coated or breaded fries to keep them crispy but instead choose to let the fries shine on their own. Personally, I'd like the fries to be blanched to get a little more crisp but that's a personal choice and I cannot fault them for focusing on keeping it simple.
Staff was friendly and service was quick (its a Monday before the summer season) and relatively inexpensive lunch with a burger, fries and drink coming in under $17.
One of the few places open wednesdays in the off-season and who had outside/patio seating for the pup, the burgers and fries were great. Definitely go for the chili and cheese as well.
Burgers were delicious. Many special burgers on the menu to choose from. I think I found "Wild Willy" seated by the entrance! He didn't say anything but seemed like a pretty good guy. Strong, silent type. Let's the burger speak for themselves!

No wonder this place has fantastic reviews! The food was amazing, for real! I recommend wild Willis! The on tap root beer was perfect! It tasted so good. Good service, parking, and food. Thank you for an enjoyable lunch. These Alaskan's appreciated it. 🥳😊
Wild Willy's has the best burgers and sweet potato fries in Southern Maine. If you are anywhere near York, be sure to stop in and get a delicious burger. It's small and cozy and right on Route 1.
