This place was a very unique experience, with more taxidermy animals than I've ever seen! Historic place!Really good steak and Rocky Mountain oysters!

Recommended by a local tour guide, I can see why, this place is inviting & the wait staff friendly& attentive, sharing stories & information on the restaurants history. I had the Buffalo (blackened & my favourite) & Elk combo, coffee was excellent too. Easy to get to from Union Station. Great last night in Denver.

A friend flew in from St. Petersburg, at the top of his to-do list, was eat at the Buckhorn. I have been a patron of this place for many years, and I love taking visitors here. Always a wonderful experience. There is nothing like the food, drinks, service, and historical atmosphere of the Buckhorn. Over the years, I have had everything on the menu and enjoyed it all. Absolutely no complaints. There is an RTD train stop there, so a ride on the train makes it easily accessible and no worries with parking.

This was my first time at The Buckhorn Exchange...I knew of it but had never stopped in previous trips to Denver. The decor is awesome and I would certainly call it unique compared to any other restaurant I have been to. The servers are exceptional, helpful and extremely knowledgeable of the menu and history of the establishment. I had the elk and ostrich combo and both proteins were excellent. The bean soup is simple but delicious and memorable. If you have thought about checking this place out...stop thinking about it and go 🙂

The eye candy is everywhere. The meat candy is brought to your table to feast on while your eyes feast on all the historical stuff there is to see there. We got the Blackened Buffalo Prime Rib and it was so tender we could cut it with a fork. Really top notch. Our waitress Stephanie was absolutely amazing. Great tableside manner and a real delight to visit with. Great service. Great food. Great fun.

There aren't many places you can eat elk and Buffalo while looking at Teddy Roosevelt's original rough rider flag or Wild Bill's signature. I'm so glad we were able to experience this one-of-a-kind resteraunt! The food was delicious, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was pure Colorado. Don't miss the chance to eat at this historic restaurant.

Great place to see when you're in denver. I got the Rocky Mountain Oysters, for bull testicles they tasted pretty good. Also got Buffalo and Elk. It was amazing. Great tasting meats. Full with flavor. Also, the apple pie was delicious. We chose to sit upstairs, and I found that to be a better area to sit at.

My husband and I have been wanting to try the Buckhorn for quite a while and finally decided to make a date night of it. The surroundings are really neat (although if you have an issue with taxidermy, I'd steer clear, ha ha). I loved the ambiance of the top floor, including the jackalopes, and the service was excellent! I ordered the quail because I had never had quail, and it was delicious (although I could have used more of the prickly pear and apricot glaze - yum!). It was perfectly medium rare, and tasted like a cross between a duck breast and a Cornish game hen. I would recommend getting the baked beans as your side - they make them in-house and they have some of their ground meat in there. Really delicious. As stated earlier, the service was top notch. Our server knew exactly what was gluten free and had no problem making suggestions, so that was very appreciated! Overall, a great experience! We'll be back!

Outstanding food at this one-of-a-kind restaurant. A lot of history in this building. You won’t get tired of the scenery. I went all out and the food was so good, I forgot to take pictures of it!! Will be back again!
