Nice little place right off the highway. Indoor and outdoor seating and very friendly staff. We would highly recommend if you're in the area! The Pork was ok but needed the sauce to compliment it. The brisket however was exceptional, melted in your mouth and needed nothing!
We stopped here on 1st night in town. BBQ is never my selection for a meal; however, if someone wants to go then I'll go. My husband loved the place! We each ordered pork & 2 sides. I'd always rather have Shredded Chicken but most BBQ places serve it still on the bone. Boss Hogg's wasn't any different. The pork was tender and seasoned well. I didn't like the mustard-type sauce but enjoyed the regular. Sandwich portion was large. Coleslaw was delicious. The baked beans tasted like it was made in the mustard-type sauce. I didn't finish it. Husband liked the potato salad.
What impressed me the most is that we arrived at 8:45p prepared to have our order to go knowing they closed at 9p. They said we could stay however long we wanted. The service wasn't diminished by impending closing time like some places. For that reason alone, I'd return.
My 3.5 rating = restaurant is average/as expected. Nothing horrible but not the "OMG, gotta have again".
Really delicious pulled pork, great sides and friendly staff. Creamy coleslaw was fantastic. Very sweet. Beans were uniquely flavored and tasty. Enjoyed a taste of my wife's potato salad as well. Had Sonny's Sauce on the table which was a nice surprise. Totally worth the stop.
The meats, specifically the brisket and chicken, are cooked very well and the sauce is awesome and can be described as a semi-sweet Carolina twangy style sauce with just a slight spicy kick. The sides are solid.
Very nice restaurant!! The food was awesome and service was great! Log tables and chairs. Nice quiet atmosphere! We had the chicken, brisket, and pulled pork. The green beans are wonderful.
Great little place. Extremely friendly staff. It's a good small town feel to get good food, without feeling like your in the heart of pigeon forge chaos. Great outdoor seating available located just on the outside of town. Ribs were great, pulled pork was great, the sausage was best! We will be back and highly recommend. Cook came put from the back to ask how everything tasted. Loved it!
Visitor from Florida, saw this place on way back from Pigeon Forge. Love, love, love these small BBQ places. Family friendly, very nice people, and the food was fantastic.
Ribs were perfect, not quite fall off the bone, which is a good thing, means they are cooked to perfection (rib meat should not fall off bone, there should always be a small amount of bite required to pull the meat off the bone).
Slaw was great (sweet)
Baked beans were good
Rolls are...well basic rolls.
No alcohol sold here, so if you want a beer with your meal, that is not offered. Other than that, this is a must try place in the Smokys.
The best bbq place in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Pulled pork on a plate was the best juicy ever meat, Collard Greens... Heaven help me stood alone and needed no salt👍 Clean and super nice staff with a shout out to Andre the cook who knows the secrets to good darn cooking👍👍👍👍👍 Something would have to be straight wrong with your taste buds if you don't like eating here... Facts😉
Nice little BBQ place with indoor and outdoor seating. The pulled pork sandwich was amazing. Also the Cole slaw seemed like it was homemade😋. We got are order delivered to our table in about 10 minutes after we ordered. We will definitely stop here next time we are in the area.
Great place to stop for some BBQ, friendly and helpful staff. Nice size patio that is dog friendly too, we're traveling with ours and it worked out perfectly. We had pulled pork sandwiches with sides and everything tasted great. Only one thing, there were some bees on the patio that our dog tried biting under the table, and one flying around me was on my plate.
