An absolute jewel in downtown Punta Gorda. Their food is the best Italian, this side of Italy, that I’ve ever had. It is as if walking through Carmelo’s doors take you straight to Italy with the delicious smells, wonderful people, quaint surroundings and truly spectacular food. I can honestly say that I’ve never been disappointed at either lunch or dinner, inside or out. I can’t wait till they open their new place on Retta!!

Went to dinner tonight with my parents and my sister. Made a reservation and was seated right away! Our server was misty I believe and she was fantastic, had bruschetta to start with and then I had the chicken piccata it was fantastic! We also had veal parm, lobster ravioli and chicken limoncello. Everything was delicious and so fresh. Saved room for dessert and we each got one to share, tiramisu, limoncello cake, flourless chocolate torte and affornato. Everything was so good! I can not wait to go back

We celebrated our daughter’s wedding last wkd and Carmelo’s catered our meal. The food was outstanding! Our guests raved how delicious it was! From the enormous meatballs at our cocktail hour, to the Chicken Parmesan, Tortellini Alfredo, pork loin, garlic mashed potatoes & vegetable medley at dinner, everything was to die for! Thank you, Carmelo’s!!
