The shrimp had good flavor although not as wild caught as I’ve had elsewhere. The grits were delicious. Creamy and fluffy, not wet, with coarse grind. Just the way I like them. I prefer not to have tomatoes and mushrooms in my shrimp and grits but they did not take away from the experience by much.
My wife had the shrimp scampi. The bread was very good. My son had a grilled cheese, which was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
Cape Fear Seafood Company located at 832 Spring Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609 is an excellent Seafood Restaurant! I got the Snow Crab legs combined with fried Shrimp, Scallops, and a crab cake. The Scallops were my by far favorite / they were spectacular! Perfectly cooked with a very good batter and they were sweet!!! The Gulf Jumbo Shrimp I found were ok, not sweet, which was a bit of a disappointment to me. Crab cake was good too, not great. The crab legs were on the thin side, not very meaty. I added some of their old bay spice which was delicious! The Chocolate mousse was good too. Try the Blueberry cobbler as it looked great.
All in all it was a very good meal. I’d go for the Fried Scallops alone next time.
Server/Bartender Jamilla was great!!!
The seafood dishes were extremely fresh and tasty. We waited for awhile to get service at first. There was no host or hostess when we came in. However the food made up for that. Will definitely eat here again.
