Mi Tierra seems to be a small mom and pop taqueria based on it's exterior presence. However, once inside you're greeted by a cozy atmosphere with hints of upscale decor and personalized service. There are small reminders that you are in fact in a mom and pop restaurant, such as the scratched paint, the occasional dirty table and the traffic in and out. The service was super polite and on top of everything, the food was swift and delicious. We had a party of 7 and everyone enjoyed their meal. We were heading back from a rodeo up North. Our whole group agreed that this will be our dinner spot from now on anytime we're traveling down the 101.

Mi Terra has a self serve salsa bar. The person I was with liked their pork with green sauce tamales whereas I found my Mega Chimichanga to be nothing special. Our appetizer was alright. Was charged for a second round of chips, which we wouldn't have gotten if known.
