The first time I walked into Sugar Island Bakery I felt like family. This amazing group of people have created a cozy atmosphere of heaven here on Topsail. If you don't love the delicious brownies or the incredible artwork by the owner's children, then the sweet smiles and warm hearts of the employees will win you over. This is a must visit on the island. Grab a snack, head upstairs, and settle down with a great book. You will not regret it.

By far the best place in the Wilmington and surrounding area for baked goods and coffee. The homemade jam bars have to be my favorite snack item ever, but literally everything here tastes amazing. They also have a great selection of books, local goods, and beer. But the best thing about this place, is the staff and owners.

This is a wonderful place for a dessert, coffee, and just relaxing. A very unique place with tables to set and read or eat. A great selection of books. Also a wonderful gift shop and decorative items. All desserts are home made. Don’t miss this place in Surf City. I love it.
