Overview: higher scale... not really a jeans/t-shirt/tennis shoes place. Sort of on the intimate sidw.
Meal/Time: Dinner/Saturday 515PM
Decor/Atmosphere: look for the octopus in different places
Service/ Front of the House: greeted and seated quickly. Friendly interaction.
Service/Serving Staff: Staff is EXTREMELY service oriented. Stopped regularly to check on us. Constantly refilling our water. Food runner really personable. Found this to be truly enjoyable meal. Our server was Gina and she was amazing.
Food:
Lobster bisque is really lobstery. Actual lobster chunks
Octopus is soooo tender...you do not need a knife. The octopus is grilled so you can taste the smokiness.
Salmon brochette... good size portion of salmon over a bed risotto. Loved the salmon...cooked perfectly. The risotto was good, but the shaved parmesan was a little too thick for my liking.
***note my friend ordered the fried red snapper... its A WHOLE fish....huge... could be shared by 3 people. It was really good though. Watch out for bones.
Value: about $75 per person with not alcohol. A little pricey but the quality is there.
Restroom: men's room has 2 undivided urinals and a stall and single sink. Trash can needed emptying.
Will I come back?: yes for the octopus for sure.
I thought this is one of the best seafood restaurant I've ever eaten at. Compared to other more well known seafood restaurants, I would say the food is better than all of them. The location is in a typical strip mall which probably turns some people off, but don't let that persuade you. I had the 7 Oceanas which is like tomato soup and it was great with a very large portion. It's a tad bit spicy. The coconut flan for dessert was also great. Two bags thumbs up.
One of the rare finds in Palm Desert. Great choice of different dishes. Friendly service and fine beer. Our new favorite.
The pork mole is fantastic.
One of the top 5 restaurants in the valley. I was told that this restaurant is one of the best out here and it took a while to get there.
Now, I conure! The food was great, service was impeccable and all with reasonable pricing.
If 100 was a perfect score, this restaurant would be in 95% level.
I can't wait to go back.
Thank you for a wonderful experience!
The Banana Peppers with Shrimp and Crab Cake, topped with a Jumbo Shrimp, were very good. The Oscar Shrimp tacos were not our favorite. The shrimp had a lot of breading and the tacos were topped with so much, that it was very messy to eat.
The restaurant decor and the music, made the ambiance very nice and server was great.
I would like to try their Ribeye Steak on a future visit.
